Acharya Ganesh Hiralal Hasal

Acharya Ganesh Hiralal Hasal has spent a lifetime in the pursuit of art and is among the few teachers who has sincerely taught and popularised Kathak, a form of Classical dance in India. He belongs to a family of renowned dancers of which he is the 7th Generation. He got his training from his own father Guru Hiralalji together with his late brother Shri Nritraj Hiralal who was also a famous dancer and teacher in Calcutta. While his father spent many decades spreading and teaching this art form in Delhi, Acharya Ganesh Hiralal Hasal after spending a few years both at Calcutta and Delhi settled in Bombay,the gateway to the culture of India.

Dr Vinod Hasal’s two kids the 9th generation of hasal legacy & brilliant artiste VINODINI HASAL ( classical Kathak exponent / folk /contemporary / Modern / Theatre & Choreographer. Son Shvetank hasal an artiste in making pursuing Higher studies in Western University Canada 🇨🇦 ( Business Management)

Acharya Ganesh Hiralal Hasal has participated in several dance conferences all over India and has also been around the world twice propagating this art form. Apart from several renowned students of Guru Hiralalji and Acharya Ganesh Hiralal Hasal, to name a few Uma Sharma (Delhi), Damyanti Joshi (Bombay), Nandini Singh (Delhi), Sahira Pasha (Bombay/London), Sudarshan Dheer (London), Akila Rao (Bombay), Sharmila Rao (America), Bharti Rai (Germany), Sophie D’souza (Germany), Sandhya V. Shantaram (Bombay),Prachi Shah(Mumbai), Ghangaur Sharma and shubhadha Sharma many others, he is proud that his sons Dr. Vinod Hasal and Pt. Umesh Hasal have also taken up a rigorous dance practice under his able guidance. To him dance is the best form of Art, universal in appeal. Acharya Ganesh Hiralal Hasal has recently being honoured by the prestigious RANG RATAN AWARD in India.
